I think the argument I hate the most is that "technology is inevitable" like you covered. And ik it's using fictional media for comparison; but don't we have countless movies about humanity fighting against AI or rogue technology attempting to replace humanity? Even in the content we create, we want to fight against total replacement of people in our lives with technology. Technology can make things easier and more accessible. But it should never be at the cost of a human touch or input; regardless of how flawed someone perceives humans to be. And without regulation, tech can cause just as many problems as humans do.
