Art is communication and language; if the author is removed from that equation what message is there to receive from the art?
AI isn't a human voice expressing their pain and struggle and life experience, there isn't someone on the other end to connect to.
these ai bros fundamentally do not understand that art is a tool to connect people with one another, from artist to viewer. You lose every bit of that connection when all that is left is frankly a horrifying amalgamation of echoes of artists voices and experiences. There isn't something there, its like a ghost. It is so offputting to artists because we subconsciously understand this. This is why it is so unsettling. It goes against the very nature of being human, connecting with others and sharing our experiences.
