Autopilot is an old technology, and everything discussed here is largely irrelevant in the context of the latest FSD (V12 on). It is like discussing the old problems with the first generation iPhone (like excruciatingly slow Web page access) and concluding “therefore iPhone won’t work”. It is the brain, not the sensor that enables self driving. You can fly an FPV drone with an amazing accuracy solely based on the live images from the cameras on board.
