The argument against your stance is many artists embracing AI and using it as tool in their toolchain. Art will still be art .. if your art is so one-dimensional that it can be auto-generated to the same quality, then I think you werent much of an artist to begin with. I see this much as paintings .. people used to just not have them. Then they started to get printed, now everybody has posters of paintings in a frame and is just as happy if not more as when that was an oil paining.
Or maths .. we used to have buildings filled with literal calculators .. not the machines, people who's job it was to do math on paper. I dont think people starved as a result when Casio did it's thing. Nor did people feel the need to poison calculators or other silly things in order to protect their niche from progress.
If IT engineers had the same shitty mentality, you'd all still be doing manual labor or starve to death.
