I get that you've used AI to make silly broken art. But have you used it to make actual art? Even just one piece? Are you an artist yourself? Have you ever made a piece of art *not* using AI? Have you tried using it to enhance your video production workflow? Would your life be easier if you could save 80% of your production time and put out a similar-quality video, and it didn't cost you any extra cash? Also, have you used a camera lately? They have come a long way recently. They can tell if your shot was/will be blurry, detect your finger in front of the lens... even warn you if someone blinked. I don't think your litmus test of "you still need to have talent" is a good one. It's not going to be meaningful at all to those in the audience who are not artists, or who don't appreciate art as anything more than something wealthy people own. And among actual artists, you've got a divided audience, about half of whom earn at least part of their living *using* AI. You absolutely can argue that AI is a tool, maybe not *just* like a brush, but certainly comparable to perspective tools, "goo," and Bayesian inpainting filters. But more importantly a skilled artist can use it as a tool. It's possible to make garbage art with any medium. Sometimes when people discuss AI it's like they don't remember autotune or 3D rendering effects or.. well, old digital cameras for example!
