jeese, that intro was like whiplash. folks actually put in effort to be that racist, that publicly, thinking they did something funny/intetesting. I've avoided seeking out the "skits" people have put on. which i've heard were getting pretty bad and were just a thinly veiled excuse to be racist. but whoa damn. I was not prepared for just how obvious it was. they really are just using robots as a flimsy stand-in for black people and an excuse to be old school southern racist, half of those skits shown looked like they intentionally chose a 1950s-60s aestgetic as well. but because it's towards ai/robots they think they can use the cop-out of saying "it's just ai/robots, can't be racist towards a machine". like, the slurs they think of aren't even creative, they're just changed slightly from their irl counterpart. even the situations are litetally the same (experienced still today). like, I could feel the dehumanizing disdain through the screen. clanker was a something seldmomly used in the Clone Wars tv series, a joke at best, and these a-holes ruined it. bigots gotta appropriate everything remotely interesting then twist & stretch it till it's unrecognizable. damn culture vultures, racist/homophobic/transphobic white people have no culture, (almost) everything interesting about U.S. culture was made by immigrants, black people, queer people, & indigenous americans. racists are culture vultures, feeding off of society's scraps then bastardizing whatever they take in. not even being creative; just taking something and making it worse, corny, cringe, & un-fun, being unironic in all of it which just "adds insult to injury".
