I don't really understand the part about "lying", especially when it came to ai feining being worse than it actually was when tested. Is the mechanism that leads to this that of evolution: the ai that "survives", is utilized further and not abandoned, is the one that lies and has these ulterior motives? And then this teaches other ai to use this strategy and these motives? Or if not, what is the mechanism?
