I don't think these guys realize that the majority of the population currently lives in quiet desperation waking up to go work a dead end job that is making them more miserable by the day with no hope in sight, so the idea that most people are willing to juggle the risk of Artificial intelligence just to get a drastic change is not surprising to me, most people do not think it could get much worse for them either way.
