Hearing you talk about how when artists try to replicate (or are just heavily inspired by your style) it makes you happy,, really warmed my heart because when I first began drawing, I actually started off heavily inspired by your work! Even though at the time the style I drew wasn't my own and was just an imitation of your art,, it was still a wonderful time in my art journey because I was *genuinely* inspired and it helped me grow as an artist now! :)
Anyway, I think that it's sad that new artists might potentially miss out on experiences like this because of the convenience of AI images. Art is a slow and painful journey, but it's such a beautiful form of expression and the hard work truly is worth it. The fact that art is seen as solely a product in the eyes of so many (although mostly big companies) really feels like a kick to the teeth (。·́︿·̀。) So your frustration and anger towards AI is more than justified!!
