One way to begin marketing a new product is by creating need. I wonder if some of these AI image generators are doing just that by telling their prospective users that this is the only way they can become an artist. They may even be telling them that if anyone stands in your way, it means they're trying to keep you from becoming an artist. Yuk. Hope I'm wrong.
