I get your point and to a certain extent, it is obvious I agree with you. However, did you not study other artists and their work? Did you ever get inspired by someone else`s work? AI does not even "see" your work. It transforms it into numbers and "plays" with the numbers. You are also free to see everyone else`s work on the web or live in front of you and get your own ideas about a possible new work from you. So, it is kind of a "tricky" situation. But AI is not really using your own work per se. It is creating its own. And I think that in the future, because these AI images become cheap, a work done by a human will increase in value over time because of its uniqueness. After all you can create new work imagined by you and AI will depend on what it has in the server.
