AI will never be conscious. It is an impossibility. Without the spark of source, there can be no consciousness for they are one and the same. One day in the future, AI will perhaps be able to mimic consciousness. But pretending to be conscious and being conscious are very different things.
And for the record, what we are currently calling AI is not intelligence at all but a mere algorithm. It's simply a large language model designed to emulate human speech patterns. That is not intelligence. That's simple programming and logic.
