I keep saying to current AI fans that "current AI" is not even on the path to being a thinking individual. It's not a matter of needing more teraflops or more datacenters or more training or more optimization. It's a difference in kind, not degree. They're trying to get enough hammers in a pile to make a torque wrench, it's just not going to happen.
