But if American AI developers are forced to use licensed content, inevitably the Chinese will take over—because they don’t give a damn about licensing. Basically, China will become the AI leader, and American AI will be a joke compared to its Chinese counterpart. AI is all about data—one side has unrestricted access to everything, while the other barely has 10% of that. The outcome is obvious and entirely predictable. And by the way, I really hate it when someone gets on a TED Talk pretending to pity artists losing their jobs, when in reality, they’re just pushing their own agenda to make money.
