That puts the cart before the horse. What human PHD doesn't have generalized intelligence? It would need to be AGI before truly understanding any field. I think that's more than 50 years away.
A more realistic danger of AI is that it puts every artist, author and musician on the planet out of business and the entire human race becomes culturally dead. Or it gets used extensively for propaganda and scams that completely cripple our society.
