AI art is just cheap and easy, I'll use it if I'm trying to make something quick while being broke, even though I think it's slop. An example was when a friend and I were making a poster and needed images of a keyboard without a background, and couldn't find one easily so tried a built in AI tool on whatever poster creation app he was using. We could customize the color and finish of the keyboard, and it actually worked decently well (looked a bit like the keyboard was melting because AI is sloppy, but we kinda liked that cuz it fit the trippy vibe we were going for). But yeah wouldn't consider it art, more like an AI generated photo of something we needed but couldn't find.
