The thing is that when humans are unemployed they can't afford any service or commodities that the companies using AI serves. So they will see a massive drop in their revenue. And in light of that economic crisis they might be more supportive of the UBC proposal.
The companies need customers.
The companies in mineral rich nations can run cause there's other proporous countries to take the role of customer.
In the ai apocalypse there won't be much customer whole world together.
