I can agree on all of Geoffrey's warnings on AI. But... his hubris that people are better creators then nature, the Universe intelligence or the quantum field is criminally high. All of the human body is made by organs that are emitting energy, the heart has a measurable electromagnetic field. His thinks that everything and everyone can be synthetic and nothing would change about them. Even if we as people can't explain consciousness, so what? Because your toaster can feel then you need a toast, that is sentient now? Robots can have emotions because programable smaller robots can detect bigger ones and hide? What about courage, duty and dignity, are you going to program that as well? Babylon tower's road map right there. Scientist hubris, that we can grow bigger and smarter then everything ever created in the Universe. I'm just sharing the only think I didn't like about this interview. If CEO's need moral compass, as Geoffrey said, then scientist need a good doze of humbleness towards all living beings.
