Corporations exist to pump money (somehow) from A to B and call the excess over costs "profit". Corporations will leverage AI to maximise the process. Also, Corporations are getting smaller (in head-count).
What happens when a super-successful Corporation has _all_ the money and does not need people? We become costs to be minimised, to be got rid of.
Thus humanity ends, not with a bang or a whimper, but as a cost-reduction exercise.
