The AI business model for copyright compensation did not exist when these companies trained their models; you can be sure that these copyright expenses are already worked into their costing and the budget estimated for; the only question is exactly how much to pay and what will the playing field look like when this settles down. It has been a case of scrape the internet and worry about the compensation for copyright claims later. They did not have a choice if they wanted to compete, really.
