Yes, *automation* is replacing human capabilities, but this "AI taking over the world" nonsense needs to stop. AI is NOT "smarter than humans". It literally learns FROM humans. The knowledge AI has comes directly from collective data from humans. It is not a god, it is not all knowing or all seeing. AI makes errors because its knowledge comes from human data, and AI literally warns you that AI makes mistakes. Schools do not even incorporate generative work as a completed assignment unless its directions include use of AI that cites its information. Everything in the world is flawed because it is designed by humans, including the computers than run the AI. Automation is the enemy, not AI. But, tbf, why would a company settle on lack of efficiency when they can just plug in a bigger, faster machine that doesn't talk back and gets the job done in fractions of seconds? It makes sense. That is the reality we live in. People are generally lazy, and also greedy. I do not mean that people don't work, just that they would prefer not to if they had the choice. It is still lazy.
