When AI can burn a 7018 hanging from a harness 90ft in the air then I'll worry about my job. We have three robots where I work two welder bot and one press brake bot and they were massive headaches for the company and not cheap and didn't really make money for quite awhile. The pressbrake bot took a few months to get situated for simple jobs. The welder bots were first operated by welders already working here (me being on of them) about 4 months later we found ourselves back in the welding shop doing what we normally do and some helpers were moved over to the robots because the actual welders made more money and were much more reliable than the robots. The robots now just make small parts for people that go onto bigger jobs.
