The whole point of AI is to remove the last part of the entertainment industry that requires actual people. The hope is that a handful of people at the top of media empires can generate the media they sell without paying anything but a licensing fee. The people calling the shots don't understand human endeavor beyond making more money.
The first step in that happening is selling the layperson on AI as a novelty or an accessible tool rather than the automation of the human soul.
