I am one who doesn't want to live forever. I remember all things that I decided were important...100%.
I am a researcher and information gatherer. Still, I don't want to know everything. I don't want to work on one project for 500 years... How boring! Let me pass it on to the next intelligent, wise, creative person while I enjoy another interest.
And, since I believe in reincarnation, which 80+% of the world does, I'm not worried about doing it ALL this lifetime, from this mind's perspective.
He seems to be open minded, but he is, actually, very narrow minded giving all of his power to AI. Being human is so much harder than that. He want to take the easy way out. My opinion, of course.
