What I don't get is why they can't just pay less. Like that's what this is all about, right? Replacing jobs because the current ones are too expensive. They've outsourced to other countries and now are removing humans entirely all in the name of cost-cutting, but like, idk a tech job for 60k is better than a job collecting carts for 20k, and the tech worker would probably do a better job than AI.
