I'm not shocked to see non-creatives use this to make a fast buck, what shocks me as an artist and writer is to see OTHER artists or writer lean into it. Sure experiment but when its replacing your actual process...well your no longer making art and to that end, doesnt that take away your passion to do it? Like put another way I wake up and write each morning, not because I have some goal or working on a project, but because I just want to write.
it feels good, i enjoy it. The idea of a machine doing it for me makes no sense because its something I want to physically, I dont want to take away something I enjoy as a hobby. ANY maybe thats the divide, so many hobbies are being turned into commerical products instead of just sharing content they make for free as an expression.
Per this video what annoys me is that these are platforms that are being invaded by art that isn't human, make a convention for that but dont pass it off as anything else. There is certainly an audience that doent care if its AI slop, the sad thing is more and more artists are leaning on AI to help their processes and EVEN if they dont intend it, AI TRIES to replace human content with its own because well its trying to replace us lol?
