As someone who has studied the philosophy on consciousness between a great number of writers who specifically care about artificial intelligence, I will say that this video on machine rights has it all wrong. A truly intelligent computer wouldn't lack preferences and people can copy the human brain and simulate that. Is that intelligent? If it's literally a digital copy of a human brain? The creator of the script of this video is as naive as someone who doesn't leave home during a hurricane.
