I don't think you understand the magnitude we are talking about. It's not just programmers. Right now there are 3.6 billion job passions in the world. They are projecting that 800 million of them will disappear by 2030 as a result of AI alone. This does not include the introduction of humanoid robots. That's 1 in 4 jobs gone with no replacement. I don't think programmers will disappear completely. But the word calculator use to refer to human who's job was to make calculations. They are completely gone. This same thing will happen again. The only difference is that instead of it taking place in 80 years it will happen in 5.
