Actually, I think there are two parts to these A.I. art generators. It's not just the millions or billions of images that are used to train the systems on how to generate art, but also the people posting prompts to the system teaching the A.I. generators to "understand" what humans want or appreciate. I use An A.I. art generator to generate images all the time and one thing that I have noticed is that the A.I. is getting much better over time at predicting what your intentions are as far as generating an image is concerned, especially when it comes to generating images of people. Before if I were to prompt "a beautiful woman" and sometimes the A.I. would produce an image of a woman with extra limbs and weirdly shaped eyes or mouths which I think had to do with the fact that I would have it generate lots of images of alien creatures and demons so it just incorporated that aesthetic into the images of women. But, eventually the A.I. started to get it and made the artwork closer to my actual intentions.
