There is already talk about UBI. It is being trialled in certain areas. I am 50 and am writing and illustrating my own picture books (traditionally). I work part time as an auditor and loathe it. I have vowed never to do any other job in the future that is not art-related as I have put it off for so long, having graduated in 97. I have noticed over the years that the more technology advances, the more intelligence has declined. My children don't get taught at the same level as I did at school. I really think that if human imagination is removed then that is the most dangerous threat. I love traditional illustration and it's sophistication but sadly it seems that level of skill is dying at the moment. I am not one to conform and join the flock so will plod away. AI cannot be copyrighted but going forward it may be that copyright may not even be a thing.
