As someone deeply involved in my craft, music, and who knows how all parts of it work fairly deeply, I don't understand people's fear of AI. I haven't heard anything artistically competitive or threatening from AI, everything I've heard from it that was an attempt to make an original song sucked. And if that's what others are afraid of, I think it's more a statement about how bad mainstream music has gotten that such poor music feels threatening to them.
