This is a bit confusing as Ray Kurzweil is a head of engineering at Google and he, certainly from his books and statements, very much wants to see an AI reach AGI and pass the Turing test. We are now entering a time when such discussion begin. How will AI be treated by us? Can we really call ourselves ethical human beings if we disregard the rights of other sentient beings?
