We are missing the point here. When everybody is unemployed and poor, the companies that deployed AI to "save on labor costs" WILL RUN OUT OF CUSTOMERS. When everyone is poor who is going to buy anything? So, if 99% of people get unemployed then 90% of companies will go bust. No customers, no sales. No sales, no money. Middle class and working class will both be wiped out, and most "rich people" will go bust. The remaining rich people better have an army to protect them, as they will have a huge target on their backs... That is why the ONLY sensible solution to avoid anarchy and total chaos is to have universal income. In other words to get paid to sit on our ass@s and consume.
