If AI is such a danger to mankind don't these very clever people ever consider they should have thought of this before embarking on such a project? There is an answer to this - just pull the plug on the project altogether. I can turn off my device so AI can also be turned off.
Secondly there are plenty of real jobs that only humans can do that no amount of AI will be able to replace, anything that requires recalibration and a high levels of skills such as the building trades, baking, crafting are innately human. AI may provide some tools but cannot replace how people carry out those jobs.
