One thing that wasn’t mentioned and it’s important, is where Eric Schmidt positions himself, personally, on this matter. From what I understand, he stepped down as CEO in 2011 to take a public-facing role, resigned as Executive Chairman in 2017, and left his technical advisory role at Google in 2020 to focus on government technology and AI projects. Why not ask him about his stakes in keeping AI unregulated?
