Laid off tech worker here. I've been waiting for the timeline where they realize that the AI won't do what I did. Every single "AI" tool we had in the company was useless. We simply worked harder to make up for the missing employees. And now I'm one of those missing employees. I honestly feel bad for the people left behind after myself and several others were laid off, because I know they are working their asses off to keep things running.
