One thing I think people are over looking about NaNoWriMo's statement in defense of AI is that it shows an ignorance of publishing. For example, when they say the Black writers need AI so that the publishers will pick up their story so that the Black author can then afford editing. Do they think that publishers don't edit and that writers have to pay for editors? There are all sorts of things like that sprinkled throughout the statement.
