I am a retired software engineer. Ai is nothing more than another piece of software. It can only do what it is told to do. It can pick up from past experience, but what is it going to do with that. It may not be good. Wait until a driverless truck starts truck starts running over people or slams on the brakes in the middle of a busy highway. Emergency braking systems have a lot of trouble with slamming on the brakes for no reason. The main computer language that was used for Ai many years ago is Lisp. It is still around. I have books on Lisp and Prolog sitting on my shelf.
