TLDR: I’m cool with, and for, AI art, but no one should have an ego or a title for using it.
I’m not against the use of AI, but i will say that there’s no such thing as an AI artist, nor should a person making AI art be able to sell the image. Anything to imply “Look here! I made this!!” And I will die on that hill. I use AI art generation for a variety of purposes, all personal, never sold, and whenever I show someone, I introduce the image with “check out what I was able to generate” as exclusively used verb on what actually transpired. People claiming to being artists using AI are pretty cringe like participation awards. And I’ll die on my hill with this.
