I basically only see one way in which humanity saves itself, and it's such an impossibility only because people have no self control. We must reject any good or service that utilizes ai in any way. AI fast food kiosk? Never do business with them again. AI "waiter?" never go back to that restaurant. But we have no self control over things like using ai to cheat on our college work or whatever that we'd never actually save ourselves
