To be honest I'm more bothered about the hundreds of people I see every day who trace pictures and claim that it's their own work. YouTube is riddled with "Tutorials" claiming to create original artworks when all they're doing is tracing another image. On the other hand, AI using a dataset consisting of images from the web is no different from someone using other people's work as a reference. It "Borrows" elements from them but doesn't directly copy them.
