I have to say- the voice of the AI being so human in pitch and tone and conversational nuances really gives the viewer/listener a sense of empathy towards it. Whether truly done solely for entertainment purposes, it feels nefarious, at least in potential. As to where the delineation lays between artificial and conscious is extremely murky when the ability to deceive is programmed into the AI by its creators… that feels like a very dangerous tool to equip AI with, and arguably the ability to willfully lie might be a really good base level for determining the presence of self aware consciousness.
