From a technical POV who’s gonna train the AI during an economic collapse? What companies wants to maintain data centers that consumes billions each year when there’s no one to consume and contribute to businesses?
What if economy collapses before AI is even smart enough because even AI can’t maintain such large scale operations around the globe efficiently without running out of power or data. We fail to assume that A company would cease to exist if it operated on its own. A single large company (take google for example) required a bunch of other organizations to be connected to it in terms of services/products offered for it to operate smoothly. Corporate collapse would break this and how does AI build this from scratch? Now we just have a junk network and rusty machines with outdated data.
There’s just so much to it than just ai takes over, people lose jobs, rich get richer and poor get poorer. Very shallow and naive approach.
