LLMs aren’t going to turn into general intelligence. Sorry.
You can’t take the AI CEOs’ words for it. It’s much like your hypotheticals about ai-replacements, job loss, corporate competition, stock evaluations, etc. We are already in that sort of world, but it’s about hyping investors about “the future”. We’ve already passed many “AGI will arrive” prediction dates. We’ve already passed the date Sam Altman said he’d upload his brain into an android.
