Artist and junior programmer here! I been working with AI in terms of programming where it is useful to fix some stuff, to find solutions to dilemmas and to learn frameworks awhile making something in a short time (is weeks though). I myself never saw use in art but sometimes I used it to know what my friend wants their character to look like so i could draw it for them, other times they used ai in music although is not good all the time and can get annoying after listening to it too much compared to singers i listen to, then there is in photoshop to like fix some mistakes in really good photos (ex there was too much flare from the sun or lack of light or too much light). I have been tasked to use ai in projects in university and sometimes is hard to integrate it especially if there are packages who are way to old (but somehow still work) other times the prompts need to be specific so it does what we want it to do without dragging on explaining things that aren't necessary. Is hard to train the AI to see what you want it to see. There is a major in AI video rendering or something like that, is about making the AI distinguish things like different dogs but in the presentation we saw about that major, they revealed that the ai would rather look at the background than the dog, that made me think that to make AI ignore the poison, you really need to train it on just idk drugs?? is hard to specify an algorithm that expects scenario to know that that's a picture and not gibberish. Ai is good in research and assisting programmers but besides vector logos or fixing photos, it is bad for art.
