The political right have been pulling a massive con for decades. As more jobs have been lost to automation than outsourcing, they have convinced people that it is China or brown skinned immigrants to blame. Now a bunch of red cap wearing tech bros are working day and night to replace truckers and whatever factory workers are left. So as Trump taxes consumers with tariffs, outlaws regulating AI and deploys ICE like Brown Shirt Thugs, truckers will keep voting for the people who are really putting them out of work.
