What i find odd in this is his contradictory position that AI is a threat to us and that there is nothing unique or special about human consciousness, that its simply biological zeros and ones. If this is true, if there is nothing more valuable of biological life over artificial then a) there is no issue if AI takes over as its equally as valid, arguably evolutionary b) any preemptive attempt to limit it becomes morally dubious and like a 'first strike' and c) really emphasises the origins of the word robot, as we would be enslaving something equal to us
