Edit: The topic is AI, not Canada, Greenland, tariffs on champagne, Ford moving to Canada, or "the cost of eggs in China.". End of edit. This is my last comment on this speech. I am of the opinion that Vance is speaking on a very serious topic, AI. Artificial Intelligence is feared by many (trepidation) as it should be. Like Atomic energy, it can be used to make life better when used for peaceful applications or destruction such as nuclear weapons. AI is letting a genie out of a bottle. It is here. That is a reality which nations need to accept and through cooperation with nations see that it benefits mankind all over this globe 🌎 with caution so it does not fall into hands of those who would use it in a nonpeaceful application.
Comments which dub Vance as a bully and make demeaning remarks about his military service serve no purpose. This speech was passionate because Vance realizes how big a deal AI is for all humanity. Perhaps it is easier to say he is a bully than accepting the fear they have of AI. Maybe because they are unaware of the potential of A1.
