I wouldn't say I'm an artist, I like drawing, writing and acting but I wouldn't say I'm on the level of "artist" just yet.
However, I am currently studying in a social science program, which includes economy classes. And what I can say for certain is the companies investing in AI are BOMBING.
Almost every company that has invested in AI has lost a lot of money and it's only getting worse. If I'm not mistaken, Apple is starting to pull out and the "Ai assistant" companies are shutting down left and right.
I also noticed something myself. WARNING: This is NOT backed up by any source, I'm just applying my knowledge of economics to what I've personally seen the last few months.
I've noticed OpenAI (and AI companies in general) no longer have as many ads as they used to. Now this COULD just be my imagination or a small dip for whatever reason. But investing less in marketing is one of the major signs of an industry in decline. Another common sign is being critiqued by either a majority or at least a vocal minority of people since controversy usually leads to boycotts so investors usually pull out when that happens. And I think there is definitely a lot of controversy surrounding AI.
