It turns out he was right while many opposing people were wrong. Today, we have a plethora of AI tools, including the creative ones, that can perform exactly as he predicted. Midjourney, along with numerous other creative AI tools, is readily available now. Furthermore, Adobe and Nvidia are actively involved in the development of these tools
